Customer Service Representative - Target


 
 
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
 
 
As part of the team to enhance the customer service experience of our customers at every opportunity, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the requirements of the Sales Manager and sales team in Western Canada. Responsible for performing sales orders, purchase order and warehouse transfer entries; follow-through with purchases fulfillment, invoicing, credit memo invoicing, inventory adjustments, receiving, daily sales register update, month end update; and customer service duties in an efficient and accurate manner.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
 
 Perform daily order entry and billing functions; generate shipping orders, invoices for mailing and initiate back orders.
 
 Enter appropriate customer information into the computer system in an accurate manner.
 
 
 Answer questions from sales staff and customers regarding products and orders using information available from the inventory and distribution management software.
 
 Monitor billings for accuracy and communicate with personnel to resolve discrepancies or verify unusual items.
 
 Research discrepancies and debit memos to accurately process, issue and post credits/debits to customer accounts as necessary.
 
 Reconcile inventory.
 
 Assist in daily and month end closing by assuring all appropriate information is entered into computer.
 
 
 Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience – Undergraduate degree or equivalent two-year diploma and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Interpersonal Skills - Bring an attitude of enthusiasm, team work and willingness to help. An integral part of the team to provide exceptional experiences to our customers, must be solutions oriented.
 
Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation.
 
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet software. Candidate will receive training in Targets inventory and sales management software.

Work Environment
 
This position provides the candidate the flexibility to work from home. The candidate must be selfmotivated, focused and responsible for one’s own time and required tasks. There will be face to face interaction with managers and sales staff on an occasional basis. A proven history of working from home will be an asset.
