What do our Driver/Warehouse Associates do?
Customer Service/Warehouse Associates are responsible for daily operations and customer service in the Target distribution center by managing and processing customer orders, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, loading and unloading merchandise trucks, and making customer deliveries. This role is directly involved in all phases of the warehouse operations, customer service, billing preparation, order processing, and inventory management.  
  • Coordinate and perform warehouse operations including inventory management, order entry, shipping/receiving
  • Monitor warehouse supplies and inventory
  • Ensure all orders are fulfilled
  • Review and maintain client email correspondence, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, acknowledging email receipt and researching open issues as needed
  • Enter manual orders for outbound shipments and perform shipment tracking
  • Work with trucking companies and schedule FTL/LTL shipments based on costs and delivery schedules
  • Make deliveries and serve as a backup driver when needed

What do you need?
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of a 1 year basic warehouse shipping receiving experience in a small to mid-size warehouse
  • Basic understanding of UCC128 labels, UPC codes and other commercial applications
  • Experience with WMS, MS Navision System and an RF system is preferred
  • Forklift certified
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, loading and unloading products
  • Must be able to obtain IDOT medical card
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
  • Valid driver’s license/clean driving record
