What does a Planning Supervisor do?
The Planning Supervisor leads a team that ensures efficient operations, scheduling, and quality of life for specialists by managing staffing levels, client assignments, specialists’ routes and client certification assignments, the specialist incentive program, and revenue.
  • Uses a “People First” approach when assisting Specialists with schedule changes and client requests to minimize disruptions and prevent down time. Drives continuous improvement in planning processes and provides tools to Specialists for efficient scheduling. 
  • Hires and trains Planning Coordinators and Planning Analysts. Provides performance feedback and coaching to continually develop team members, improve outcomes, and increase client satisfaction.
  • Implements and maintains scheduling software to ensure return on investment and maximize Specialists’ efficiency.
  • Analyzes historical and projected revenue patterns to provide recommendations to Operations Management.
  • Supports Business Development and Account Managers with staffing projections for new clients, scope changes and data for prospective client presentations and RFPs.
  • Maintains routes for current Specialists and creates routes for new hires based on geography and certifications.  Provides leadership with route and client certification recommendations to ensure efficiency across the districts.
  • Ensures assessments are completed within round dates and scheduled evenly throughout the established rounds, through assist trips as necessary.
  • Coordinates training locations for client specific certifications.

What do you need?
  • Minimum of two years of management experience
  • Demonstrated advanced Excel skills, using formulas, pivot tables, and charts
  • Strong ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely data in Brand Standards software programs
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Superior customer service skills, both internally and externally
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Experience working with field resource scheduling software preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
