What do our Staff Accounts do?
 
Staff Accountants prepare financial documents and analyzing company financials needed by management. They will research and analyze financial trends, maintain financial reports, prepare general ledgers, analyze budgets and reconcile accounts. The staff account job scope includes communicating with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner while maintaining a high level of customer excellence.
 
  • Prepares consolidated internal financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports
  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
  • Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Compile and finalize year end reports for various purposes
  • Prepare data required to compensate sales commission
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification
  • Assist with financial projects and other duties as assigned

What do you need?
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or experience related to a computerized accounting systems, general ledger and financial reports
  • Knowledge of identifying financial trends and balancing company budgets
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Vendor and customer reconciliations experience
  • Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
